What is Sound Massage? In the simplest terms, it is the sound and vibrations of singing bowls positioned with care on the clothed body. The bowls are placed on various parts of the covered body and played in varying strengths and tones and also around your client, being constantly struck throughout the treatment. The human body is made up of upto 75% water. As a result, the body becomes the perfect medium for sound waves to reach every cell. The relaxing tones and vibrations are absorbed by the whole body resulting in total relaxation for mind, body and soul.
Never underestimate the power of sound massage. Bathing in gentle and harmonious sounds touches our innermost soul and brings it into vibration. As a result, an atmosphere of safety and security is created, making it possible to let go, breaking tension and mobilising self healing and creative energies. The rhythmic soothing sounds saturate the body and produce a subtle vibration and the rich overtones take you into a very deep place within yourself. The physical vibration against the body penetrates deep into the core and pain and tension melt away.
Tibetan Singing Bowls have been vital healing tools for over 4000 years in India, Nepal, Tibet and China. The primordial tones produced by the bowls naturally relaxes the mind, bringing it to meditation state while the gentle vibrations penetrate all the body tissues, releasing emotional stores and relaxing muscles in ways that touch therapies cannot.
Clients may react differently to the treatment. Some fall asleep during the treatment, some feel wide awake and some feel like they have drifted off to a new level! Following a session, the client can continue to experience the benefits of having been in the meditative state for some time.
