Course Details

The one-day course covers a range of CPR and first aid skills, providing you with the skills to ensure a safe working environment. You will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to handle a wide range of emergency situations – from minor injuries to life-threatening conditions.

The certificate will last for 3 years from the date of the course. Therapists please check that your certificate is still in date. If you are renewing your certificate you will only pay half price. Just book with a deposit payment

There is no formal exam, a certificate of attendance will be issued.

Designed and led by a qualified first aid tutor, the course will include the following:

Our emergency first aid course covers the following topics:

• Aims and principles of first aid
• What to do in an emergency – managing incidents
• Resuscitation – Basic Life Support (CPR )
• Management of the unconscious casualty
• Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded, bleeding and in shock
• Choking and asphyxia
• Assessment and treatment of burns
• Appropriate first aid for minor injuries
• The need for recording incidents and accidents

The course covers first aid protocols for adult casualties only.

With the MSCM Emergency First Aid at Work Course, you will be able to administer the right treatment swiftly and decisively during a crucial emergency moment where every second counts.

Upon successful completion of the day’s training, attendees will receive an Emergency First Aid Certificate entitled ‘Emergency First Aid at Work.’ This will be valid for 3 years.

Who Can Attend?

The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification is ideal for those already working, or preparing to work in a low-risk environment i.e. therapy rooms, offices, corporate, retail, education, sports and entertainment.

This course is suitable for the people wishing to become an “Appointed Person” and ready to provide support to fully qualified First Aiders in case of an emergency situation in the workplace.

This course complies with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.
