After 15 years of working as a Veterinary Nurse, I decided to take a new direction and work with people. I applied and was accepted to study at St George’s University of London where I gained a 2:1 degree in Physiotherapy in 2010. I then took a post working for an NHS Palliative Care team for 4 years.
I realised that my passion and skill lay in “hands on” massage practice. I therefore continued to learn and improve my massage skills by gaining ITEC level 3 Massage qualification; achieving 83% in the practical examination.
I have continued to build on this qualification by regularly attending workshops to add further skills to my practice. I am also a member of the CThA (Complementary Therapists Association)
I have maintained my links with Palliative Care by volunteering weekly to provide massage at St Luke’s hospice in Harrow alongside my work as a private therapist. This work has meant that I have DBS clearance.
