I bring to my work with individuals a caring, attentive and still presence. I have been working in therapeutic relationship with clients since 1999 and I bring a high quality, professional commitment to all that I do.
I draw on my training, qualifications and experience in
• Craniosacral therapy
• Sound therapy
• Massage for relief of pain
• Coaching adults with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD
• Studies in literature and language
to respond to what your body / mind needs in any individual therapy session. And I am inspired by the words of the farmer-poet Wendell Berry: “… to be quiet in heart, and in eye, clear. What we need is here.”
I use experience and inspiration to work with the skills of deep listening to bring the best of myself to offer you the best therapeutic experience.
We are living in unsettling times of disruption and unexpected events, and we all experience anxiousness about the present and our futures. In these circumstances we need to find ways of restoring our sense of connection to our wise selves and to others. Gentle complementary therapies can give you natural ways to boost your immunity and restore the balance and harmony of your whole body.
My therapies are touch or talking therapies, and the practice of yoga. The techniques used can be subtle as in craniosacral therapy, sound therapy or yoga, or they can be directed techniques as in coaching, massage or yoga.
Focused, individualised care
I work with what you need in any individual session. Maybe you are experiencing recurrent headaches or low back pain that do not respond to other treatments, and craniosacral therapy might be the way to unlock the deeply embedded problem and release the body’s holding and tension. Or maybe you need to focus on dyslexia coaching and we can explore the strategies that you need to develop to help you organise your thoughts and priorities so that you get through work or life tasks with greater ease on a daily basis.
A single or an integrated approach
I can work with you using a single therapy or to find the best integration of different therapies for the things that cause you concern. This might mean using coaching to develop strategies to support memory and remembering information so that dyslexia or dyspraxia has less of an impact on your work or personal life and offering craniosacral therapy to deal with the frustrations and emotional impact of inefficient working memory.
Exploring your needs through high quality attention
Maybe you don’t know which therapeutic approach would be best for you. I place a high value on exploring different approaches with you so that together we can find what works best. We could for example deal with a frozen shoulder through myofascial massage and yoga, or sound massage for deep relaxation, or craniosacral therapy to explore the underlying issue that triggered the problem. Or we could use a combination of all four approaches over a course of sessions.
I offer a free consultation. So, call me today to discuss what you might need or, (call me) to arrange an appointment.

A special Autumn 2020 offer – calm your nervous system and nurture wellbeing with craniosacral therapy
As we move into a season of falling leaves and cooler temperatures, we are also stepping into days and weeks of uncertainty health-wise.
We all need to be the healthiest version of ourselves through diet, through exercise and through a healthy constitution. The gentle art of craniosacral therapy can support you in this effort. In craniosacral therapy we use our hands on your fully-clothed body to evaluate the rhythm and motion of your craniosacral system and help to release deep body tensions that can lead to pain and dysfunction. Craniosacral therapy can help to improve whole body health and performance.
For the months of October and November I am offering clients new to craniosacral therapy a reduced fee of £35 per session hour.
I am a member of the Complementary Therapies Association, a member of the Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties, a member of The Cranio Sacral Society and a member of the British Wheel of Yoga.
My intention is to give you the best attention
Through my training and experience, life experience and embodied wisdom, I intend that we connect, resonate and establish a relationship that will allow your inner knowing and embodied wisdom to help you find in yourself what you need for health and wholeness. The poet Colette Bryce guides us to “find in ourselves the child believer” so that we can truly take part in a process of change and growth, and live in a state of balanced wellbeing.
May we all find relaxation and wellbeing and stay healthy, happy and safe.
